WHO SHOULD SEE AN INTERNIST?
Any person over the age of 18 should have an Internal Medicine Physician managing their health care. An Internist serves as the gate-keeper for all of your health needs. Their office should maintain records of your specialist visits and diagnostic results, as well as, manage your medication. It is usually your first stop before seeking further evaluation regarding non-emergency symptoms and illnesses.
